Photographic Sinks for Film Developing

Sinks are of a one-piece molded glass-fiber reinforced resin construction. This resin was specifically developed to be impervious to the corrosive effects of rapid fixers, color bleaches, iron chloride and other harsh chemicals used in photographic and graphic arts processes. We have never had a rusty sink. There are many Kreolab sinks in service which are in their third, fourth, or fifth decade of service. How do we know that? Because we get calls for plumbing parts for those sinks, and we are able to furnish those parts.
Sinks are pre-plumbed at the factory and delivered ready for installation. Plumbing packages are chosen to suit the application, and fixtures include appropriate water temperature blenders, water filters, faucets with hoses, vacuum breakers, standpipes and basket strainers. Controls are positioned for optimum handicap accessibility. All Kreolab stands and cabinets are laminated plywood.

What is the purpose of plumbing packages?

Plumbing packages are used for temperature control on photo processes that require critical temperature control. Incoming water is blended to the proper temperature and circulated by jets around the tanks in the sink. This keeps the tanks at the proper temperature. Many photographic processes require developement at a controlled temperature for a specific time. In some parts of the country, incoming cold water temperatures may reach 86-90 degrees in the summer; if lower developing temperatures are required, a chiller must be installed in order to maintain the proper temperature.

One piece molded Kreonite sink 10" deep with 5" utility ledge on 7" high backsplash with the drain channeled bottom. Includes installed 1.5" drain with combination strainer, 1" standpipe and 7" tailpipe.
